UPONIC Naturopathic Medicine: A cultural adventure while gaining clinic
experience and hours.
UPONIC, a private national university in Nicaragua, offers a program custom designed for students interested in the health professions. UPONIC has its own school of naturopathic medicine and has combined that with opportunities for clinical time. It will be an academic experience at the base of the economic pyramid to help make your application to pre med and allied health programs different and special.
Med students prepare yourself for a very awakening experience, full of fieldwork experience, amazing individuals, cultural emersion, and great food.
Fully experiencing healthcare in a third world country, learning about medicine, and delivering medical supplies are the goals of this trip.

For the duration of the experience you will get the chance to observe their life style, while eating their food and feeling their culture. The group will take courses in naturopathic medicine and third world economics, while delivering medical supplies to and spend time in rural health clinics.
Upcoming Date: May 28th 2011 to June 25th 2011.
